Can't really use it until you have more than one Pokemon, because you need someone in your PC.

By the way, you can't use it to trade yourself. When you erase your DS cart's data, the Pokewalker data goes byebye as well next time you link it up to the DS.

Oh I know, I just wanted to run around with it and try the features.

Edit: Seems like it's pretty easy to cheat at, you just move it in small circles instead of shaking the hell out of it. I do a lot of walking anyway, so it doesn't matter to me.
