Anyone who wants to upgrade their weapons quickly and easily (but it's not cheap...) click the spoiler below.

 How to make your weapons AWESOME

Go to creature comforts and buy 24 transparent ooze.
Go to R&D Depot and buy a Ultracompact Reactor for 50,000 gil
Find the weapon you wish to upgrade. If it's a first tier weapon, the lower the level, the better, 'cause you don't want to waste points.
Apply all 24 ooze in a single upgrade, this will give you 300% exp.
Apply Ultracompact Reactor for a whopping 132,000 exp.
Upgrade weapon using jewel.
Repeat (though second tier weapons actually take more than 1 reactor. They need a LOT of exp.)

Also, the ooze 3x lasts for TWO upgrades, so that's very handy. If you have several Reactors, you only need to use the 36 ooze once

I found that in a mini-guide, but the translations were different, so I have to find the real names of the items.

Also, all tier 1 weapons max out between 21 - 26
