If you don't have central vac, there are vacuum cleaners with HEPA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HEPA) filters or something. Those would help reduce things. Also there are air purifiers that have that kind of filter built in, PLUS it uses electricity and charges the particles in the air passing through it and have a oppositely charged metal plate to attract any other particles left over. Plus the electricity would kill the stuff in the air...
