How are Different Mages 'Handled'?

Explosion is nowhere near good enough to be an efficient training skill. I barely ever used it for its damage; I only used it to clear weak monsters or to clear poisoned monsters. Don't compare explosion to ice strike; compare mist training and all the skills used it in to ice strike. In 3rd job, I/Ls primarily use ice strike to train, while F/Ps use mist and such.

Here's the jist of what you'll be looking at in terms of efficient training as both classes.

F/P
30-50: cpq or fire arrow
50-60: lmpq or fire arrow
60-75: fire arrow or brace
75-125: misting
125-200: meteor

I/L
30-50: cpq or lightning
50-75: lmpq or lightning
75-120: ice strike
120-200: blizzard

So the question basically is, which training styles do you prefer? In second job, would you rather mob things with lightning, fire arrow things, or go around the map poisoning? In third job, would you rather use ice strike to train or circle maps through multiple channels just finishing off monsters and laying new mists? Also keep in mind that F/Ps generally get much better potential exp rates and do slightly more damage at bosses, but I/Ls cost less and party a lot more often. In 4th job, the patch that gave summons instant reaction speed made both archmages basically equal in training style and speed.
