Buying stuff is only worth it if you are actually going to stare at the case or put it on a shelf as part of a collection. Something that's played for a very short amount of time isn't worth my time to be bought. I used to buy Pokemon games, all of them, actually. After FR/LG, I stopped doing that. Pointless. It's really fun during 1st and 2nd playthrough, after that, it's boring. No point in buying. The only RPGs I'm proud to say I bought was Disgaea series for PSP, along with other PSP games. DS games aren't worth my time to be bought.
