This is possibly the stupidest tree I've ever seen

Why did fire appear and disappear and why did the tree "explode"?

*does not understand*

The fire appeared and disappeared as the tree made the connection between the two lines. As long as it was only touching one, the circuit was incomplete, but every time it connected with the second, the circuit completed, sending the electricity though the tree which super heated the branches and (it looked pine) needles. I can't explain the explosions but I would assume it was caused to prolonged exposure to the circuit. The fires were on and off, and then once it had a steady flow of heat going in, it couldn't handle it. Like if you leave popcorn on the stove for too long.

Pretty cool video, though. If it were pine I would be worried about those suckers turning into shrapnel.
