Also... lets just see if i can stop trying to advance the plot so much... i noticed i originally wanted to post up to and including after the fight with the oni... damn im a greedy fu'ck. instead i worked this out, which also played into my delay.

"That's funny...oh Miss Perfect can't kill a B-class Oni by herself..." scoffed Aurora. Tobias could see Mimoto's face start to fill with rage. It seemed she didn't take kindly to being insulted. Aurora, not even paying attention to her reaction, continued. "Just position me at an area at least 50 meters from this oh-so-powerful Oni...I'm sure I can kill it in one shot...ptff..." She grabbed her sniper rifle and strapped it over her back and walked out of the room. Tobias and Mimoto both stared as she walked out of the classroom. Tobias was bewildered by her reaction.
Pouting, Mimoto walked over to Tobias' desk. "Well... I think she's agreed to come with me; you up for it new kid?" She gave him a sincere look, arching her back trying to show off her breasts. Tobias looked at her chest, and started to blush.
He looked up at her and whimpered a response. "Why are you asking me? I mean, what about Daisuke over there?" Over at his desk, Daisuke looked up and waved. Tobias gave a short smile back, while Mimoto gave him a cold stare. "He would make a better choice than I would."
"You're new here, so I'll let you in on a little something, that Daisuke jerk," she was still giving him a mean glare, "is a total perv!" Tobias' face went into shock. "Back in our freshman year, Daisuke and I were in the same class, and when we were walking to school one day, he flipped up my skirt in front of everyone!" Daisuke, reminded of that, slumped over and leaned his arm over Mimoto.
"Yeah, but, you were so cute then, Mimoto. I just couldn't help myself!" Mimoto's face started to turn red, and she clenched her fist into a tight ball. Tobias knew what was coming next, and leaned backwards on the desk. Mimoto launched her fist over her shoulder and connected straight with Daisuke's face. He fell over to the floor and put his hands over his face. Tobias looked amazed at how strong Mimoto was without her sword. He then looked down and saw some blood trickle between Daisuke's fingers.
"Next time you try a stunt like that, I'll break more than your nose!!" She was fuming, huffing with every breath. Everyone in the classroom was staring at the two of them, even the teacher who had just entered into the classroom. She let out a slight cough, and everyone looked to the front of the room. They all stood up and bowed to her as a sign of respect, except for Tobias and Daisuke. Tobias was still sitting on top of his desk, still amazed that she was able to send him to the floor with that force of a punch; while Daisuke was starting to get up off of the floor and walking over to his desk, still holding his nose with one hand as blood dripped down and onto the floor.
The rest of the day went on with little going on. Tobias stared out of the window throughout most of his classes, doodling notes and symbols onto his notebook. During lunch, he went into the cafeteria and ordered himself a small red bean bun and a small salad, and went outside to eat in the central court. For the remainder of the day, no one else came up to him.
"Tobias, you seem distracted. What is wrong?" said White in his head. He liked White, at least he knew how to talk to him inside his head instead of by using his voice.
"Its that Mimoto girl," he thought, talking to White. He closed his eyes, and he imagined himself sitting alone on a bench, surrounded by darkness. A figure that looked like Tobias' twin walked out of the darkness, and sat down besides him. Aside from his white eyes, he was Tobias' exact duplicate. "I can't figure her out. I think that she's the one who emitted that dark energy earlier, but, she was in a fight with a strong opponent too, so I can't rule that out. Then there's her flirty nature; one moment she's smiling at you, showing off her chest and giving me a cute look, the next she lands a fist into that Daisuke's face with so much force... I just can't wrap my head around her."
"Well," started White, "perhaps you should try to get to know her. She did ask you to join her on that mission of hers. Plus, not to try and condone it, it would be a great way to miss a few days of class." Tobias looked down at the ground. "Perhaps Tobias, you need to. You've been in this town for almost a week you know, and you've barely made any efforts to get to know anyone. Maybe if you help this Mimoto girl, then maybe she could help you."
Tobias let out a sigh. "I know White. I just don't know if she can be trusted. In one instant she can look at you with sincere eyes and an innocent smile, the next she can cut you in half with that sword of hers." He stood up and walked over to the edge of the dark edge in his mind's created space. "Then there's that Aurora... she gives me an uneasy feeling. She's cold and emotionless... like how I was when I first lost my parents... it just seems like she's shut out the world. She's calculating, which is a good thing, though. Perhaps I could..." His train of thought was broken by the sound of the school bells chiming throughout the school grounds. He was back in the courtyard, still holding what was left of his bun in his hand. He quickly ate what was left of it and ran into his classroom.
After class, Tobias gathered up his books and quickly ran out of the classroom. He heard the other students start to talk amongst themselves and prepare for the rest of their day. He wanted to get home and get started on his homework, still contemplating Mimoto's request she made earlier. Why she hadn't asked Daisuke, he thought, was a silly reason. He would've rounded out her 3-man team; Mimoto could fight from the front lines, both as a lure and as the main attacker, while Daisuke could support her from mid-range and Aurora could pick at it from a distance. He thought that given that setup, there was no way she would've had any trouble taking it out.
As he walked past the gate, the guard retreating into his booth as Tobias passed, he heard someone call out his name. He looked over and saw Mimoto sitting on the bench where the sleeping woman was earlier in the morning.
"Tobias, over here!" He saw Mimoto get up off of the bench and walk over to him. She put her arm around his shoulder and smiled up at him. He could feel her breast brush against his arm. "So, have you considered helping me out with this Oni problem?" She batted her eyelashes at him.
Tobias grabbed her arm and pulled it off of him, walking to the side. She looked over at him and stared at this. "Look, Mimoto, in school, you can act like a flirt all you want. You know nothing about me, and I appreciate you trying to get to know me better, but you're better off just taking Daisuke. He'd make a better choice than I would." He stood there, eyeing her down. She saw a confused look in her face.
"Wait, why? You know I'm not going to ask that perv for help with this; and besides" she walked over and leaned in close to him, putting her lips close to his ears.
"I know that you've got a power thats incredibly strong inside you. You might not want to admit it, judging by how you held back earlier today with those demons, but I knew you could've just wiped them all out if you wanted." She pulled away and smiled innocently. Tobias could see through it, he could see the smug sense of victory behind those lips.
"Heh, so you think you have me figured out, hmm?" He looked at her and returned her smug smile with a cold one of his own. "You have no idea just what I can do."
"And that's why I want you. I want to see just how strong you are, see if you can be of any use to me. Besides, it'll help you out too; I'm the sexiest girl in this school. If the other girls see you hanging around with me, it'll help boost your own popularity. I'm trying to do YOU a favor too, so just say yes that you'll help me out, okay?" She extended her arm and held out her hand. Tobias looked at it, and after a few seconds reached out and shook it. "Good; now remember to meet me and Aurora at the Shinto-Seto train station at 5:45, so we can catch the bus by 6. Remember to bring some clothes okay?" She let go of his hand and walked away, turning back and winking at him.
When he reached his tiny apartment, he flung the door open and threw his bag onto the bed and pulled off his uniform. He walked over to his closet and pulled out his guitar case. He laid it out on the bed and opened up the front zipper. He pulled out his Modulus bass guitar and set it at the head of the bed. Tobias reached inside and opened up a secondary zipper inside the case and pulled out a long black wood staff. "Well..." he started, "I guess there's no better time to make your debut, right Equinox?" He looked at the rod and looked over in the mirror. He saw his reflection staring back at him, Holding not the pole, but the Scythe with a black blade. His eyes were pitch black and his skin a shade of deathly blue.
