“Mimoto, please report to the Principal’s office. Immediately.”, the principal’s voice was heard over the loudspeaker. Mimoto puts Shinku in his sheath, and glanced at the loudspeaker. She raised her left hand and titled her glasses upwards.
[ I’m assuming this is some sort of punishment, because you did kill that demon earlier.. This is the first time you’ve done something so drastic. Either that or because you were late to class, as always. ]
“I’ll find out when I get there. Whatever it is, must be important if she’s calling me over the loudspeaker like this..”, Mimoto begins walking towards the door to leave class. Suddenly, Tobias, Daisuke and Aurora all stared at her from behind. Mimoto turns back to stare at all of them, then turns away and begins walking out of class. She puts her left hand in her pocket, while raising her right hand to wave at them, without saying a single word.
“ . . . Hmm”, Tobias scratched his chin.
As Mimoto walks, she puts both of her hands into her pockets and slowly walks towards the Principal’s office. She turned to her right, it was a wooden door with the color of amber, with a golden knob on the front. Mimoto’s right hand reached for the knob, and as she was about to open it.. the principal opened the door for her from the inside of the room.
“Uh…”, Mimoto had a shocked expression on her face. “I called you here for a reason, have a seat.”, she said. Mimoto slowly walks towards the chair in front of the principal’s desk, and sits on it. She takes off her glasses and puts it away in her right pocket, then crosses her arms.
“Alright. What do you want?”, Mimoto scoffed.
“Still acting cocky and arrogant as ever, I see. You never change. I realize you’re not exactly one of the best students in this school in terms of grades, but your skills are excellent. Out of everyone else’s rankings, you’ve slain quite an amount of demons during all of your previous missions. With ease, at that. Another thing is.. you were late to class. Your teacher reported it to me, and I also heard you killed someone.”, the principal remarked.
“. . . Handbook article III section 9 states that..” Mimoto spoke, but was interrupted by the principal. “Yeah yeah, I know the rules. That’s not the point. He challenged you, so it’s his fault. Anyways, my point here is, I’m punishing you.”, she said.
“WHAT?!”, Mimoto stood up and slammed on the desk with her right hand. “Principal, this is outrageous! What do you mean!?”, Mimoto yelled.
“For being late. Anyways, here’s your punishment. You are to go to Ikanawa Beach and to eliminate an Oni. I realize the term ‘Oni’ is a rather generic term, but this one literally looks like an Ogre. His body’s dark crimson red, and he has a black horn on top. He also wears tiger-pelted clothing too, can’t miss him. He’s about 10 feet tall, pretty huge demon. He’s been eating people in the forest near Ikanawa Beach. Your mission, is to hunt down that demon. He’s a B-class. Also, I’ll gladly send 2 people with you. You may choose any 2 people you’d like to go with. One more thing, you may not bring Shinku with you. As this is part of your punishment for being late, over and over. You’ve been doing this for 3 years now, I’m not letting you get away with it again. Understand?”, the principal smirked.
“ . . . Grrr.. I don’t even talk to anybody in class. Hell, they’re just my classmates. You actually expect me to get along with people? Really? Secondly, if I’m not allowed to bring Shinku, how the hell am I going to fight?”, Mimoto had an aggravated look on her face, and started clenching her fists tightly. “One more thing, here’s the money for the trip-costs. 1,000 Gild. This is enough for a hotel for a week, as well as covering bus expenses, food, etc. Should be enough for all 3 of you, whoever you’re going with.”, the principal laughed.
Mimoto quickly grabbed the money and walked out of the principal’s office. As she went out, she slammed the principal’s office.
“That temper of her’s, heh.”, the principal chuckled.
“That woman!!!! God, she pisses me off so much.”, Mimoto thought as she headed into class.
Tobias was sitting there on top of his desk, and saw Mimoto walking in class. “Wait, why hasn’t the teacher lectured or anything yet?”, Mimoto asked Tobias. “First day of classes are always like this, I’d assume.”, Tobias answered.
Aurora glanced at Mimoto. “What the fuck are you looking at..”, Mimoto glared at her. Aurora just shrugged and didn’t say a single word. “Anyways, guys. I have to go on a mission, tomorrow. ASAP. Heading for a beach first thing in the morning at 6 AM, you guys up for it? We’re going to slay an Oni. A really.. strong.. Oni. A B-class Oni. I know for sure I can’t take it down by myself, so I’ll need help. I don’t really talk to a lot of these people in class either, so …you guys are technically.. the only friends I have. Even if I just got acquainted with some of you today, like Tobias. So, you guys up for it?”, Mimoto smirked and crossed her arms, staring into Tobias’ eye.

I'll be really descriptive when we reach the beach, or during the fight. I sorta rushed this, but I had this idea for a while now. -shrugs- This is a good way for our characters to learn teamwork. While doing it this way, I can also fight without using Shinku as well. Which technically means, I'm weaker, and I no longer have sword-techniques to rely on. Interesting. I made a dilemma for my own character~
