"Which end of a chocolate cornet do you eat first?" "Hm... from the head, I suppose." Mark had a quizzical expression on his face, much like a confused rabbit in a pet store approached by a child for the first time. "By the way, which end is the head the narrow end or the wide end?" "I was thinking that this end, the narrow one, would be the head," replied Greg in his typically smug manner. "Oh you~" Mark clenched his teeth into a wide smile with his dimpled complexion showing as he rubbed his fist in Greg's hair as he locked Greg's head in place with his left arm. Mark and Greg found themselves laughing themselves to the floor.
Now, this was but a far distant memory reverberating through Greg's mind like the echoes of the billowing waves on the water faintly heard as he sat upon the sandy shores of the beach waiting. Waiting for his beloved Mark to some day come back. Long gone were the merry days of their frolicking through all the flowers, ukulele playing, sand castle building, and daily interactions that he treasured so deeply in his heart. Greg never thought he would see the day where Mark would leave to never come back again. The cry of seagulls echoed through the beach as the waves crashed while Greg sat on the lonely beach, trying to make sense of the loss in his life still since "that day". The day that Mark had left.Greg felt like a very portion of his heart had been torn out and he was left to painfully endure the torment of living. The rising and setting of the sun for the moon to come out and soon disappear felt endless to Greg. God knows how long time had gone by since that day. Was it months? Years? Decades? Centuries? Millenniums? Eons? Greg let the smoke from his cigarette rise to the vermilion sky with the sun stretched across the horizon. "Funny," he thought. It was Mark who had taught him to smoke cigarettes, but it always stung in his mouth and burned every time he tried. Mark would always let out his high-pitched laughter every time Greg couldn't do it; and pat him on the back. "Mark always knew what to say too," thought Greg. Mark always thought Greg looked cool when he was smoking. To this day, it still stings Greg; but it's the least he can do for that person.
Suddenly, a voice called out. "Greg! Greg!" shouted a distant, nostalgic voice. No, it couldn't be. It was probably another echo from days dead like the falling and crumbling ashes falling from Greg's cigarette. Greg let out another puff. Suddenly, rapid footsteps could be heard. One after the other with increasingly louder pitter-patters. Suddenly, Greg felt arms around his neck and stroking his hair.

"Greg, you haven't changed a bit. Come 'ere, you~" "Hey, that tickles!" Suddenly, laughter fell upon Mark and Greg. They finally found calmness and sat down. "Mark, it's been such a long time," Greg said with a bright red color on his face as his mouth curled into that of a puppy dog. Greg was always one damn smug bastard, but here, he felt as if he were stripped of his clothes in public. Is this what time does to people, thought Greg.... [TO BE CONTINUED]

Something ages old I sent to Spidey to work together on for the The Southperry Adult-Situation Writing Challenge for this absolutely awesome scenario perfect for Mark and Greg boning but I didn't know the direction I wanted to take the story that leads to sweet, manly sex on the beach with waves crashing in the background; culminating in the two of them smoking cigarettes in the afterglow of the sun. Since the thread died, this never took off anywhere. This is just what I pitched in to Spidey. She's got a plot draft lying around somewhere and I think a rough outline sketched, or something along the lines of that; the draft went a little further and rewrote some of what I pitched in to turn it into her style. You could bug her for that if you really liked this. Since this is a thread about Mark getting all lovey-dovey, might as well toss this in here; and pretty befitting for Greg's reaction to Mark when he sees this thread as well.
