archers, sins and mages at lower levels are hard because they all have low HP and geist balrog dispels a lot.
A DK would be useful for the entire party, so you could use a mule that's gone the early HB route. Any warrior can survive but won't add much to killing geist quickly because they miss too much. CB can survive well with points in meso guard.
It also depends on the level of the mule. My APQ mule is a lvl 90 CB and I have no problem getting in APQ.
