Lenovo bought the notebook division from IBM some years ago, if you were wondering about the name Lenovo or the quality of their products.
Anyway, always go see the laptop you want in a shop up and running, and also compare it to some others besides it.
Current day's laptops are all the same internal wise, the only point where they differ is:
- Quality of the screen (Is the screen reflecting and shiny or do you want a matte one?)
- Toughness of body / screen (does it starts breaking after 1 year?)
- Battery life
- Does it get hot if you full load both the CPU + GPU for a while?
- Is it noisy at full load / idle? -> listen carefully, most stores are a lot more noisy then when you're at home in a quiet room!
