Also, Toshiba are pretty durable, but id go check Newegg.com for some laptops, I always find good laptops, and the reviews are great help.
I find the reviews on newegg to be a bit baised because most people who write reviews are people who have only used the item they reviewed for about 1 week. It's only been 1 week, of course the laptop would be running great. I also don't like newegg's no return policy. I prefer laptop forums over newegg reviews. I am currently using an Asus EeePC and it's been fine so far (but I've only had it for about one month). For my desktop, it uses an Asus motherboard so that has lasted... years and years. I don't even remember how long, 3+ years at least.
I've also read some good things about Asus laptops which is why I went with Asus. It's something that's not to expensive but not too cheap.
