This flash really made me think about my time wasted.

Kinda funny how that video stated: "You could read x number of books instead of playing games".

Unless it's an educational book, books are also purely made for entertainment, and don't make you smarter that way either...

Also, totally switching the subject... let's all stop working, since working for a company and doing stupid and retarded jobs, don't make you smarter either and are technically speaking a waste of your social life too...

Last point: Being "smart" is overrated... the point of life is not doing stupid things... things like voting for Sarah Palin, shouting Obama is an evil communist, or claiming the Haiti earthquake was an act of God... And trust me, people who did this, didn't all play games excessively...

For me, playing online games, allowed me to meet hundreds of people from all over the world I would never have met when I wouldn't have played online games. Not be able to meet these people face to face doesn't lessen that experience and noone can take that away from me forever...

The point is not "omg everything in lyfe sux and is pointless lets just stop doing EVERYTHING" and it's definately not "gaming will destroy your life, stop gaming NOW". With everything in life, as long as it's kept in moderation it is not a negative thing. Reading is a source of entertainment too but along with it comes developed reading skills and if you think about what you've read, it comes with some critical thinking skills. Working some dead end job, like gaming gets you no where in life either but at least it can pay for living expenses whereas gaming contributes to expenses. Of course if those things aren't in moderation, they're just as bad as gaming. Working endless hours on something you don't like will increase your stress levels, lacking sleep hours and sometimes mental disorders. You can say that for just about anything: sex, shopping, gaming and internet. There's a good and healthy development from each of those but it comes with negative effects as well. That is the case with finalbragade - gaming didn't take a heavy toll on his life as much as some others.
