Kinda funny how that video stated: "You could read x number of books instead of playing games".
Unless it's an educational book, books are also purely made for entertainment, and don't make you smarter that way either...
Also, totally switching the subject... let's all stop working, since working for a company and doing stupid and retarded jobs, don't make you smarter either and are technically speaking a waste of your social life too...
Last point: Being "smart" is overrated... the point of life is not doing stupid things... things like voting for Sarah Palin, shouting Obama is an evil communist, or claiming the Haiti earthquake was an act of God... And trust me, people who did this, didn't all play games excessively...
For me, playing online games, allowed me to meet hundreds of people from all over the world I would never have met when I wouldn't have played online games. Not be able to meet these people face to face doesn't lessen that experience and noone can take that away from me forever...
