Even though I enjoy the Twilight series for entertainment purposes, I didn't make such a retort to defend the books. You insulted an entire gender with your first comment, and I deplore such actions. My response was justified by your verbiage, while yours was inferred from...clearly nothing evident in this thread.

i didnt insult women, i insulted a woman. not all women are idiots like her. this woman has no name, and i had nothing better to call her other than her gender. personal quirk, for one thing (if i dont know youre name, i address you by gender. too many times has this gotten people pissed off at work, but hey, im bad with names.), but secondly; would you rather i insult her, or address her? the "read as" is addressing, the subtext implied by that address is the insult.
