Can someone explain the plot of FLCL and Big O?

i see the ending as more of her resisting her memories, more like she wants to keep her amnesia because the memories are too painful to remember. In her struggle against the memories, she destroys everything that is known aside from the one anchor point to reality. Its a rather twisted look on if someone else were the center of the universe, as if we are all a figment of someone else's mind and only exist for the reason we play in that person's life...

then again it has been a long time since i really watched big o
