Watch it again with that thought in mind.
Agreed. But basic outline is; Theres a boy, theres an alien whos a 20 something girl, the boy likes the girl but doesnt show it (lot of the above comes into play). Theres a robot, thats actually a weapon. The boy can pull stuff from another dimension though his head (supposedly empty with no brain). So on and so forth, he becomes a man and saves the world.
Really better than Ill ever be able to describe it.
Big O is one huge giant loop story, kind of like Donnie Darko in some ways. The first episode of it sums it up well for the premise, that its set in a city of amnesia, and people seek out memories. Throw in a mix of giant robots, and android, an awesome butler, and some others, and then let some stories play out. Theres more than the main story (basically the "mayor" seeking to control a giant robot and some other stuff) where you learn more about the characters and stuff. Basically it all comes down to one semi main character being some kind of angel (thats her characters name too) and everything playing out is taking place in a huge "movie studio" of sorts, and angel clears the set, and then the show basically restarts again.
