But that's a pretty general dip used for almost anything Viet. For spring rolls it's best that you use a different sauce. Maybe Khoi knows about - it's a black sauce, made from cooked housin sauce. Usually if you order for spring rolls at a Viet place they'll give you this sauce sprinkled with some peanuts.
Sh't. I know what you're talking about. Isn't it like really sweet? It's basically Hoisin Sauce, but I have no clue how to make it!!! /rage Hoisin Sauce isn't bad either. I only use it to eat with Pho, really. I usually eat Spring Rolls, Imperial Rolls, Egg rolls all with Nuoc Mam Pha though, so.. lol.
