This. Any multi-year dedicated video gamer can recall a number of times in which they were individually frustrated by some aspect of some game. I second the Blue Shells comment, for example, and raise to fishing in OoT for the gold scale or whatever it is. Fucking big ass fish was a painful hour of work for me.
Oh, and in MapleStory: Zakum JQ. One of the easiest bosses in the game and yet has, in my opinion, one of the most painful pre-reqs. Horntail's transformation quest is way easier. I don't care if you're a godly pro at JQs, because I consider myself pretty good and even then you can have bad experiences with them.
