Maplestory pisses me off to no end, if only because I pretty much hate everyone who plays it and it genuinely gets in the way of RL more often than I'd like to admit.
I don't ever remember getting so annoyed at console games, in which I would happily clock up several hours trying to do particularly hard parts or farming stuff (if required) without much complaint, which is usually where I'd get my ridiculous "hundreds of hours of playtime" figure on game saves that made my parents a little annoyed when they saw them (they checked up on what I did on a regular basis before I left home for uni).
Don't play video games competitively, so I dunno about that. Usually sucked when it came to co-op though, my friend was some sort of "halo sensei" while I was more "what does this button do", he did most of the work in legendary co-op. A little inadequacy set in maybe, but nothing to rage about. Many lols were passed around (which I joined in on) when I died for the 5th time in the same spot.
