I've actually done this, however I question the value of doing so.
1-Very few of the hacking victoms ever reported finding a keylogger on their computer.
2-Using this method makes changing your password a pain; for me at least a 10 minute job rather than 1 or 2 minute, because you have to reboot twice, and booting from CD is sloooow.
3-The bare-bones Firefox that comes with Linux could be more susceptable to on-line attacks that the usual Firefox with Noscript addon for all we know.
