Sorry, coincidences like that don't just happen. They're stepping up because pomegranate's getting rough and they need to make changes, not because it's magically time for them to do so after years of them doing nothing.
Ok so what about the packet editing,pg hack,meso generator,guild hack etc epidemic that were going on in the past? When those happen wasn't their ticket system being overflow with angry players? Wasn't others taking action "dont buy nx until pg fix" "burn nexon building down"
Anyone forgot about the whole Code Red or w/e hacking rumor that sent players crazy and during that time people were claiming to be hacked by just logging? Everyone has always been raging nexon on their support system way before the whole hacking situation and nexon even addressed that in the open letter they did a while back.
I'm not buying this maple union efforts to be the reasoning behind the upgrade. A lot of crap has happen in the past and the community attacked nexon for months end. if your attack were similar to eos call of action on ele wands then i would give your maple group union the props behind this upgrade.
Other than that it was something nexon planned on doing and its being done.
