This. Even in versions without E.Wands, single-target damage output difference is in my opinion not great enough to justify the training v. "bossing" balance for Evans in comparison with AMs. And when we get to the lands of E.Wands, AMs win the bossing category and the training category handily and we all know how I feel about that and what needs to happen.
I think one of my problems with Evans is that I associated them with Arans and that it doesn't really live up to the wonky class preview thing, you know, the Growth Speed (1), Potential (3), Freedom (1), Difficulty (2). Actually, I just looked up the Aran version of that and that thing is enraging, LOL at Growth Speed (1) of Arans.
Anyhow back to topic, both Aran and Evan have (3) on Potential and I'm just not seeing that, I came into the Evan game expecting Hero-like DPM and Hero-like training. I assess the skills and see that Evan are likely above everyone except AM in training and adjust expectations of DPM downward appropriately, then Aran is shown to have approximately the same or slightly sub-Hero DPM and I do the math with E.Wands and AMs are still stronger and without, close enough? That leaves me in the same boat as I started, sitting with Buccs, sailing around. I know I QQ all the time about Evans, but those "ratings" deceived me into thinking something that they weren't.
Lastly, I'd bet an Evan trains faster in jobs one through three than an AM and just about anyone else not an Aran...just expressing more rage at that fail ratings system. Growth Speed must be a ranking where 1 is best.
