Assassins suck at mobbing. So gunslingers beat them there. anyone beats them there, except beginners. 
However, a sins DPS will quite easily outdamage a gunslingers (looking at videos, that is :<). So, I think 1v1 assassins will win out, gunslingers will only be better at mobs.
