Many of the early Presidents--TJ, Lincoln, and although he isn't a President, Paine--were not Christians but Deists. JQA was Unitarian which is basically Deism but you go to church.
Ignorant bible-lovers are the demise of our society. I don't understand why people still believe in that book. Get some of your own ideas.
EDIT:
Just noticed the posts about the "Founding Fathers being atheist". NOT TRUE. Being a Deist does not mean that you are Atheist, it just means you don't believe in the "God" that is prettied up by the Christian bible and the absurd Christian beliefs. It means you stick your head out and -gasp- MAKE YOUR OWN OPINION.
