The competitive SSBM discussion thread

What I love about melee is that you can wavedash like crazy to get closer to your opponent. Marth's chain grab to a ledge is just killer when he pulls it off. I'm a Peach player myself but I spam turnip hell more than I actually go in for close combat. If that ever happens, Down A is lovely.

Competitive Peach players fucks me up really bad, no joke. If someone plays Peach, I have to go with Jigglypuff asap. If I stick as Fox or Falco, I'd get raped. My Fox and Falco doesn't really tech as everybody else's, so I'm a lot slower, so I just end up using Jigs to counter Peaches. My friend over here plays Peach too, he's a beast with her. He spams turnips a lot, which gets really.. annoying, because he doesn't do anything competitively advanced, but he knows what he's doing, so once in a blue moon, he'll pull a Smash-turnip on my ass and kill me. <_<
