Better than that...
Normal stars: +400% = 500% (5 times as much damage)
SP stars: +400% = 450% of first star (45 times as much as the original hit)
So you go from 3 * 1 + 3 * .5 to 3 * 5 + 3 * 5 * 4.5 = 18.3x damage for NLs.
Of course at that point hitting the damage cap is pretty wull guaranteed, but hey. NLs do 10 hits in 1 second. Corsairs, at best, only do about 8. So that's 400k+ extra.
