I think it's kind of weasel-y, but not "cheating". Then again, I'm not a "islander", because my few characters on the island are far from active. I would say it's probably right around 2x exp card using.
I do know that when I was fooling around on my camper, it was a bit unnerving to see people with min damage over 8 without being pure dex, and knowing that I dealt with being pure dex up to like level 9 before I could get my 100% 1hk, and these guys spent a few bucks on MTS and got items that aren't even supposed to be obtainable there.
Either way, they're not really game breaking either way. Even investing a lot of money in MTS, they'd only have a slight advantage (or potentially, none at all).
