The first time I believe I was caught with a voice clip disguised keylogger that gets around "MSN temporarily stores voice clips on your computer". I have since reformatted my computer.
Detox shows up on page 8 and his posts were deleted for trolling and threatening to rehack me. The thread ends with Detox posting again threatening to delete my character and a day later it actually happened. His last post is mocking me.
My email and MS account was both jacked as of this morning, this time without a logger, assuming backdoor entry like how people who haven't logged in for years getting hacked. It would take years to bruteforce my new passwords, impossible.
I can only guess that I was re-targeted because I was trying to help the community and make nexon aware, the fool hasn't posted on anyone else's hacked threads, I can only assume its cause people are outright quitting like RataRata and boggy.
Thanks EosThe last time I fully got to play my char with equips was on the 13th. I have alot of ingame screenshots but I don't think I will truly recover from this cruel act. I will probably ask Ben to keep me on the top shadower ranks...
Some things i don't understand here. (Sorry for any naive assumptions or questions, don't really know much about this stuff.)
If you were keylogged the first time, why would they have needed to hack into your email? Wouldn't they already have user id, password and pin to just log on to MS? If they lacked the pin, hacking into email would not aid in finding that. (There isn't a retrieve pin function, is there?) The only reason to hack email is if they need the user id and password sent to it. (right?)
And, if they had already gotten into your email the first time, what makes you think the second time was different? They already had your MS user id and email name, can't change those. All they had to do was (re)hack the email, have the new ms password sent to it, and (re)crack the pin. (The email must have been hacked and the pin must have been cracked the second time, since you had gotten rid of the keylogger and changed them.)
Either way, the second hack proves that no keylogger is required, if email is already known.
