I guess my contribution to the conversation is that there are people in most (probably all) religions who force their religion on others/openly disprove and slam others' religion/non-religion. I'm sure there are plenty of atheists out there that think the same towards Christians, but it really all comes down to each person. My mother actually had a big problem with me choosing to be atheist (at the time, I'm a reformed agnostic now
), and I really had a hard time with facing that at home. In middle school some kid punched me for "not believing in god"...and all I could really think is "What a fucking good Christian he is..." I swear...punching people is definitely NOT what Jesus would do."To each his own" is probably the best philosophy when regarding the religious affiliations of others.
