I remember ONE time I did not tip the delivery guy. I simply forgot the tip. He was a huge pimento about it, and to be honest I don't regret not tipping that particular guy. Most of the time I tip the pizza guy 2 dollars. However, when we're in the mood for pizza, I do pick-up the vast majority of the time. It makes no sense to pay delivery charges and tips when the pizza place is just down the street; and honestly, we get the pizza faster and hotter that way.
As far as the job being dangerous, I can see that. You're going alone to a random person's house. That person knows you have money on you, and he is getting you there on his terms and at his leisure. If he wants you there at 1:00 am at night, you'll come there at night. It's not really something I'd want to do for the amount of money it pays.
