Come now, you can't tell me if you saw that barrel in a video game, your instinct would tell you that it'd explode if shot. Look at GoldenEye, there's nothing that says "SHOOT DIS TO ENEMIES!" on that.

It's an oil-drum like barrel, not a barrel used for grapes or anything. Whatever is stored in that thing is most likely flammable.
