I thought the Nightmare/Hell difficulties of D2 were pretty poorly designed. This monster is immune to every attack in my arsenal unless I followed some pineappleed up build or have some crazy equips! Sounds like fun! One equip basically meant the difference between plowing through a map and getting owned, which reduced the game to farming until you had good enough gear to move onto the next area.
Elemental resistances are so pointless in MS. The role of elements should definitely be reduced to a minor damage boost/reduction (120%/75%?) and bosses should definitely not just a lot of resistances slapped on just to make them tougher.
