Relationships [mature discussion please]
#7
I'd prefer to have a relationship I myself earn on having. That is, I need to have a good reason apart from sex and cuddling to be in a relationship. If the relationship doesn't give me advantages, such as e.g. cheaper food (making dinner for two is in fact cheaper), better will to work with university or job, and that the person is popular. Being with someone not popular would not be good for connections ("hai I'm married with a serial killer who watches porn and have no job"), neither the self-esteem.

Problem with this, is usually two reasons for me. The first one is about decisions: Should one think about relationships that pays off from the beginning, or relationships that pays off after a longer period of time?

That itself isn't a real problem. Usually, trial-and-error works to find out what suits you (me) the best. If a relationship that pays off fast gives little to no advantage after some years, break or fade it (Yes, it's harsh, but it's true.). If a relationship takes too long to startup, you might consider your patience before starting it.

The real problem is to find someone which gives you an advantage. For me, this is hard as hell, as I'm a fast learner which finds patterns and understands logic very very fast. I'm basically unable to learn stuff with others, as I grasp the ideas and theories way faster than others, and learn them by heart just by looking at them. That's one of the things. The second thing, is that I, as Spidey, prefers a lot of time alone. It's probably a part of indirect bullying during kindergarten, being I'm unable to find a school-partner or someone to do homework with, as well as having a completely different school-route home than everybody else. Simply put, I'm used to work alone and being alone, and I enjoy it because noone can disturb me or slow me down.

As of right now though, I have a girlfriend which is more or less like me (and good-looking. Woah.), so for me and her, it's a win-win situation. Gonna move in together during summer, yay!
