Don't try calling people ignorant for using the word gay for something that is stupid when you're being just as ignorant by being in denial about a word's meaning not being able to change.

Funny thing is my video comes from the reputable Ad Council, while your image is an inspirational-poster meme that, without showing the source, can be "Joe Redneck's Dictionary" for all we know.

I'm not calling people ignorant, I'm calling people careless. Ignorance is the lack of knowledge to begin with, while carelessness means you're willing to say or do something even if you know it's right or wrong. The main contention I have with image is not the image itself; by all means "Gay-Test" in terms of seeing what machine looks "prettier" is funny! I think it's quite a hilarious take on the stereotypical homosexual, and after all, everyone should be able to laugh at themselves and their quirks. But the irksome part of the image is the "If you say left, I've got some bad news for you..." That single statement, because the title of the image is "Gay-Test," is taken as one essentially urging people to stay closeted, that "being gay" is a bad thing and should be treated accordingly. I don't care if you say it's supposed to mean "You chose the sh'ity machine," because if that's what you want it to mean, then rename the image.

And lol @ a word's meaning. I can play that game too.

Dictionaries record language as it's used in the world, which is why this even appears. Notice the first line, which I bolded for easy viewing. It's slang. Chiefly, aka almost solely, used in the United States. And it's sometimes offensive. Case in point, it appears in the contemporary dictionary because it's a modern slang. I guarantee you it wasn't in dictionaries published in the 17th century, whereas the definition "bright, brilliant, and showy" has been its definition forever.

Oh, and Merriam Webster doesn't even recognize...what did you call it? "A word's meaning not being able to change?" Good jokes.

This is my whole point. The apathy is disgusting, but hey, it's understandable since you're not gay. Whatever.

Kill me for sticking up for persecuted population's. In all honesty, I truly hope that all of you against me never have to identify with such a group. It's not something I would wish for anyone.
