I believe success is only temporary but failure lasts forever. I do value all my successes, from little ones to big: making it to level 100 in some 2d side scrolling game, solving a complicated math problem, graduating high school, meeting new people and friends, passing a class, finishing an assignment... basically everything. But I believe that all success is only temporary. Yeah, you finished a test, now on to the next one. Yeah, you finished school, now on to find a job. That might seem like a pessimistic view of life (from school to college, from college to work, from work to death) but it's what you do about it.
Because success is only temporary, I seek more to accomplish. Some people mope about how life is boring. It's what one make of it.
You can learn from failures but you can't always learn from success. Key word: always. For instance, if you finish a math problem with one method, you can't always apply that method again to succeed again. Similarly, if you go for that girl or boy you had your eye on and fail, you learn what not to do next time. If you succeed, (assuming your relationship doesn't last) you can't really learn much from it because how you hit on one person might not work for another person. In addition, you also learn what not to do in a relationship to keep it going.
Anyway, that's my view. I can see why one can argue that failure is temporary but success is permanent but I'm not trying to change anyone's views. What's yours?
