I don't care if this is a joke thread but my take: don't expect immigration to be easy with lots of hugs, open arms, running through fields, automatic invitations to boss runs, etc. It's a pretty big stigma to overcome, and a lot of people (at least, first gen) are wary.

Oh I guess. I don't want to seem biased since I was from there but I just wanted to say you can't make that assumption to everyone who might have been from there, but I can see what you're saying.
