I doubt friends will be able to do much about your depression anyways. Let's say hypothetically you had close friends, what would you want them to do for you? In fact, what can friends do for you that a family member can't (for your situation at least)?

I don't think that by having a girlfriend or a close friend will magically cure your depression. First off, why are you depressed? If it was because you are lonely, then wouldn't any person suffice? And before your first girlfriend, were you depressed? I highly doubt a girlfriend is the only cure for your depression.

How did you get your first girlfriend? I'm sure you didn't just sit at home, and she ended up waltzing in there asking you to be her lover. I hope I'm not being too harsh, but no one in the world can give you what you want other than yourself.

I'm depresed mainly because I have no friends almost no one to talk to and get almost no physical contact.

I was depressed my gf and we went out because she started a friend ship with me and it went on from there but she pretty much ended up hating me later on.

And I think a gf or a friend that would let me hug/snuggle them would help as I would feel like some one likes/wants me.
