You guys are ignoring the fact that she's holding it in the wrong hand.
This monster is obviously based on a Maple character model, and if we take that as a given, we would realize when facing to the right like that, the character's right hand is the main weapon and the left is a shield. She is holding her weapon in her left hand. This is how guns are held.
It might be something else, but if they built this monster using a Mapler model, then the weapon they used to generate this image was a "gun", even if the weapon she is using is not actually a gun. This could go along with the "one hand cross bow" idea... it wouldn't be hard to create an "item" which is a "gun", but has the appearance of a crossbow.
