Do all the quests you can. When I say "all the quests", I mean all of them! Quests are beneficial to you and will help you level faster. If at any point you go into a dungeon, have quests available, and aren't doing those quests you're doing it wrong. Only go into dungeons to complete quests. This general rule will save you a lot of time.
Up to level 18, it does not matter where you allocate your SP. You get a full SP reset at level 18, so until then just pick which skills look cool. Base your decision on which job to take at level 18 from which skills you liked. You do not get any more SP resets, so after your advancement at level 18 you should consider looking at skill builds.
Mages are difficult for the first 18 levels. Then they get easier.
If at any point you ask yourself, "How do I get to Mirkwood Frost?" You get the ability to go there from another epic quest.
Epic quests advance the storyline of the game and will open up new dungeons and areas for you to fight in. Regular quests do neither of the previous and just exist for giving out exp/gold.
Kiri will offer to upgrade your items. Don't bother with upgrading your items until past level 25.
Sell white-labeled items to NPCs. Disassemble Purple and Blue equips with Loton. If you get a pink equip or a 30+ green equip, buy a donkey shop (NX Item - like a shop permit) and sell it.
You may have to spend money to make money with pots, but you only actually make money with 0.15% of pots. It's not worth your time.
The only potions you can buy in this game cost NX or Victory Points (VPs are rewards from doing PvP) to get. All of your other potions you get come from exchange quests or potion drops in dungeons. You can't just go to an NPC and buy pots.
