In Japan straight-laced businessmen read violent pornographic comics while on a tightly packed train to work, beer and porn are sold through vending machines, and they eat a lethal fish that's been detoxed for teh thrill of potentially dying from it if it hasn't been prepared properly. I am sure this all makes sense to them, but I stopped paying attention a long time ago.
