An Archer's "Where to Train" guide
#32
Wiggy Wrote:
Ok before I start asking my questions lemme give you my info and stuffs.
lvl74 Ranger early AR build. AR is currently lvl7.
My range is 8xx-13xx(sorry don't know the exact numbers) and 9xx-15xx with a warrior elixir.

Now I have been training at Gyphons...and Im getting frustrated and bored.
I have been just killing the mobs next to the portals. But I've heard from some people that, that way is slow, and you should just be mobbing them all to the middle. So...I tried that..and got even more frustrated due to the fact that I kept falling..

Sooo I said to myself "You know what, Imma just go to Pirates..."
So I went to Pirates, but I found it..hard.
The exp felt worse then gryphons..and with, the amount of items they drop I was at a constant need to loot. Since by the end of my first hour there..I used 350, I really wanted to get some money back from training here.

Now that all thats out of the way..I ask.
With lvl7 Rain and my att range what place would be better to train at.
Gryphons or Pirates.

Also...a little more in-depth guide to train there.
The summary of your guide for both of them leave me in the dust for which one to choose.

(This was posted in other topic...I think Pirate Nose Den3 is the name)
I saaay..out of boredom I'll try it. Not today probably sometime this week once my training gets back on track.
Though Im not lvl72, I am quite close to it.

Gryphons annoyed me quite a bit too. I dont think I exactly mobbed to middle, but any time I saw 3-4 gryphons in a mob together, I would rain away. I also had 1 strafe to lure gryphons to me if need be. I do agree that it can get fustrating though.

At Red Nose Pirate Den II, a pet is almost a must. I notice that you have no nx on rankings so that could be a bit of a problem so perhaps you could try marketing in MTS for a bit and getting 10k to get a pet, meso magnet and item pouch (I think 10k would be enough). Then you dont have to worry about looting and can just concentrate on killing and whatnot (Just have your pet follow you on top and then go use it to sweep the bottom once in a while). Map 3 might be better for you as you're sniping for the most part, meaning you only use hp pots when you go to loot things, but with the mass amount of loot (and especially the case if you live far away from the server and loot slowly =X), you'll be slowing down your exp/hr pretty drastically still.
