Having worked at a medical clinic I can assure you STDs generally spread through ignorance and hedonism. A lot of uneducated people like to screw without condoms because it feels good. This also gets them illegitimate children, which beef up their welfare checks, which they see as a little bonus; I mean, why work when your 5 bastards get you the equivalent of an income and you don't have to work? If they get an STD, they just keep on screwing, and I doubt they inform their partners. There's nothing more discouraging than seeing an AIDS infected man's wife storm into the office, begin screaming in panic and anger, and then we can't tell her anything because of patient confidentiality.
Abolish welfare and institute good-quality sex ed as a matter of national policy, and you will greatly cut down the STDs in America.
