Two Party Government Really Better?

Well, even this wont help much. In California, a good amount of the Republicans that are in office now had signed "No New Taxes" pledges, saying they would not take part, vote yes for, or propose any new taxes for California. Well, come to them having issues with the budget, the Democrats had a set of taxes and such they wanted passed, but they would need some Republicans to do so. In the end, a few of the Republicans that had signed the "No New Taxes" pledge ended up being "talked into" voting yes on. One of those Republican, actually went about campaigning for his position in office on never in a million years raising taxes. Tongue
