He's exaggerating. Aside from the fact that most participants (including Link) are around age 10, it's nothing particularly gross. I'm sure whatever you have in mind is worse.

Uh, Link kisses Zelda as early as Zelda 2, he doesn't look 10 years old in that game and it's been like 1000 Zelda games since then. In the cartoon series circa that period, Link (and Zelda) look at least 16 (I'd say 18-20 is more accurate.) Also, 10 year old boys cannot fight with a sword effectively, and Link doesn't always shoot rays out of his.
