No one benefitted from this. MTS turned from a moderately decent method of selling items into exclusively storage space. I mean, maybe there are more people buying shop permits to sell items that way instead of through the MTS, but even if that's the case it only works for people who could get NX anyway; anyone who wasn't able to get it before can't get it now and thus can't spend it on anything.
I don't really sell things in it any more. I never really bought things through it, but now I can't sell either so it's worthless. The items I was selling before only worked because they were relatively cheap and people were too lazy to collect them on their own - thus I could make NX 200-400 at a time just by selling things I found in the normal course of playing. Of course the new tax rendered all the items I was selling before unsellable, or at the very least not worth the effort anymore (why should I make nexon 500 NX when I only get 110?) so now I'm basically just using the MTS to hold items until it gets overly full. Items that I do give up and list take forever to sell, when they would have sold quickly before.
I'd actually go so far as to say that this change indirectly caused me to play a lot less, to the point where I'm only logging on at patch time to see the new things. Before I could sell items I was finding while Monster Card hunting so hunting for cards was also profitable, but now I can't do that and the cards take so long to find now that I'm only in the upper tabs, so it's hard to be motivated to go hunt Taurospears for 4 or 5 hours with no guarantee that I'll have anything to show for that time. At least before I'd have the NX made from selling the taurospear drops, now I don't even have that.
