Saying you have to read Twilight to determine it's $hit is like saying you have to dip your nose in $hit to determine that it smells bad. When roughly 15 million people have already said it's $hit, you can practically smell the horrid writing from the bookshelf. I concur with the others. Don't do it, for the sake of all that is good and holy.

On the topic of the book:
I thought it was poorly written and wasn't something I enjoyed reading. I was forced by my (ex)girlfriend at the time to read it, because she was sooooooo fascinated by this "Edward" character. Made me want to gag. Later worsened when my Junior English teacher (a 5x year old pudgey woman with red hair. Honestly, she was the epitomy of an Oompa Loompa) put a big ass poster of him at the front of the class; I sat right in front of it. Did not like.

I would have kept track of how many times Edward's mood shifts unexpectedly and for no reason, but I didn't have that much paper. I am sad, though, that I didn't keep track of how many times words like "granite," "stone," and "marble" are used in reference to Edward. His arms, his lips. Explain to me how kissing cold, marble lips is at all appealing. And yet it makes Bella faint. I give up.

but yes, ive seen and heard, and even enjoyed some of the debates over the book. but, if i could struggle through The List of Seven and enjoy it after the half-way point, then theres a chance that i can struggle through any parts of this book that are, well... eh.
seriously though, List of 7 was good. serial killer that goes by the pseudonym Maxamillion Graves was what stood out and continues to stand out for me, and that the main character gets thrust into a situation beyond his control, that all started with a single dinner invitation, and that the guy thats helps the main character is a drug addict helps too.
