I believe the latest polls for obesity rate yielded at something like 31%, but you have to realize that they count "obese" as anything 30 pounds over your weight index by height, so anybody who works out hard will be considered overweight. My father, for example, is 240 pounds, which for his height would put him at 70 pounds overweight, or obese, but he is not fat, he body builds. So the rates are a bit skewed for people that work out properly.
