But then your mom tells you no, because you got bad grades on your last tests. You want it more than anything, you feel like it'd be so awesome to get it. You want it in your grasps right at that moment. So you fix up your ways, work harder and earn a higher grade on the next couple of tests. Your hard work pays off as your mom finally gets you that toy you wanted.
"FUCK YEAH!" you're probably thinking, you play with it all the time. Sooner or later, you begin to get tired of it.
You realize that even though it was awesome at first, it's lost it's effect on you. You may still like it, but it just doesn't feel the same anymore. By this point the paint job has chipped off in some places, revealing it's ugly underside. Some of the features it used to have just don't work anymore. You hardly play with it, or even pay attention to it for that matter. The toy you wanted so badly didn't really change your life like you thought it would. It provided temporary amusement and comfort at first, but in the end you stayed the same.
You made me sad with brutal reality.
