Given Maple's past and projected future as a franchise, I would expect Nexon's licensing agreement with this company would require them to maintain the basic free to play model. I would expect Nexon to only franchise Maple out to any region if it agrees to maintain that business model. They might add certain features which require payment (such as like gMS's Amoria PQ or Haunted House event last Halloween), but I am sure Nexon wouldn't let them make the game pay to play.
